Water is the most basic need of body. Without proper consumption of water, everything internally and externally would have issues, from digestion to aging. If you don’t have a problem with water, my only advice would be to simply drink a lot, especially before each meal. Unfortunately, there are some people like me, who find drinking straight water quite unpleasant. But I understand how much my body needs it, and I understood it a little too late in my life, so I want everyone to learn healthy and delicious alternatives to hydrating the body without constantly drinking artificial beverages.

If you do not like to drink water, I have tested many substitutes. Here’s some advice I can offer you. Do not try to change the taste by adding sugar and coffee sweeteners, because the extra glucose will mess with your body. Know that fruits such as pineapples, apples and others could be better, but they spoil fast and stale the water as soon as it becomes overripe. If you do not have a refrigerator accessible at all times, fruits are probably not the best idea either, because they will react badly with the heat.

THE GOLDEN INGREDIENT: FENNEL.

This, my friends, is fennel. It is part of the parsley family, nicknamed one of the healthiest foods in the world. Full of vitamins, dietary nitrates, a natural source of estrogen, and more, fennel helps with bone and heart health, blood pressure, immune system, metabolism, skin, digestion, weight management and more (cit). Fennel is used as a key ingredient in gripe water, which newborns are fed for any gum pain. It may seem strange to put a vegetable into water, but it gives a light sweetness of licorice to an otherwise bland taste. Fennel does not go bad easily, even if the ice melts or if the water goes lukewarm.
